Roatan – How to get to Roatan ? Traveling to Roatan (RTB) is very easy.
American, United, & Delta all have direct flights to Roatan’s International Airport from Miami/Dallas, Houston & Atlanta respectively.
United, Spirit, Delta and American have flights via San Pedro Sula (SAP) with local carriers providing service to Roatan Daily and Utila several times a week.
Cayman Airlines also provides service from Miami.
In addition to U.S. flights ‘Sun Wing’ has flights from Toronto on a charter basis seasonally, (Mondays). There is also a charter available from Milan, Italy.
For those that wish a very casual trip check with your Cruise Ship Company. Some now allow passengers to drop off here and get picked up at sometime in the future versus just taking a day trip drop off on the island.
Utila Island – #30+ miles off the west coast of Roatan is our “sister island” Utila. Utila can be reach both from Roatan of from the mainland by Ferry or a small aircraft. Utila is a quaint small island that has very few autos; people travel by golf cart, motor scooters and “Tuk-Tuks”(three wheeled motor scooters that are coverer and act as Taxi cabs). Utila is considered “remote” to some and pure heaven to others. Featured on several HGTV shows including ‘House Hunters International” and “Caribbean Life”.
